CARE & INSTALLATION

Proper care and maintenance of your flooring not only keep it looking its best but also extend its lifespan. Here are essential tips for taking care of wood, vinyl, and laminate floors:

Caring for Your Floor

To maintain wood floors, sweep or vacuum regularly and mop with a damp microfiber mop using a wood-specific cleaner. Avoid excess water, high heels, and dragging furniture. Control humidity to prevent warping, and refinish as needed.

For vinyl, sweep or vacuum daily, and mop with a mild cleaner. Use mats to catch dirt, avoid heavy sunlight exposure, and protect the surface from scratches.

Laminate flooring stays in good shape with regular sweeping and occasional damp mopping. Avoid excessive moisture, harsh cleaners, and use rugs in high-traffic areas to minimize wear.

Installing your Floor

For wood floors, acclimate the material for 48-72 hours, prepare a clean, level subfloor, and choose the right installation method (nail-down, glue-down, or floating). Add baseboards and refinish if necessary.

Vinyl installation requires a smooth subfloor. Peel-and-stick tiles, glue-down sheets, or floating planks are all options. Use a roller to secure adhesion and seal seams if needed.

Laminate is easy to install. Let planks acclimate for two days, lay underlayment, and snap them together as a floating floor. Leave an expansion gap around the edges for natural movement.

Planning and following instructions ensure a durable, professional result.
